2006 Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina
The car has been designed, engineered and built entirely by Pininfarina, bringing to life something that, just a few months earlier, was just a dream and creating a sort of symbiosis between the customer and Pininfarina along the path leading to definition of this astonishing model. Starting from a Ferrari Enzo, the aim was to produce a sole vehicle inspired by sport racing cars with extreme vocations: not just a show-car but a vehicle to be enjoyed on the road.

Weber Faster One
The Swiss-built Weber Sportscar Faster One might be one of the most hideous styling executions we’ve ever laid eyes on, but it’s also one of the fastest or, if we are to believe its manufacturer, THE fastest street-legal sports car in the world. The two-seater weighs in at just 1,100 kg or 2,452 pounds and is powered by a heavily modified 7.0-liter twin-supercharged V8 LS7 engine from General Motors that produces a hefty 900HP and a peak torque of 1,050 Nm / 774.5-lbs at 3,900 rpm. Power is driven to all-wheels through an in-house developed semi-automatic sequential six-speed gearbox which is operated via F1-style shift paddles on the steering wheel

Furai is the sort of car that could only come from a company that incorporates the “Soul of a Sports Car” into everything it builds, but with an eye toward the future and the environment through the use of renewable fuels. Driving toward sustainability, Furai was initially tuned to operate on 100 percent ethanol fuel, the first time a racing three-rotor rotary engine has been fueled by ethanol. HP/Weight: 7.3 lbs per hp

The original idea was conceived by Ferruccio Covini in ‘74 and made provision for 10 inches front wheels because there where no low profile tyres at the time. The project was ditched in favour of the Soleado prototype, deemed more important, and lay dormant until the 80s when hydro-pneumatic suspension for the four front wheels where devised to optimise weight distribution under various loading conditions. Why six wheels? in case of a front tyre deflation, the vehicle control is guaranteed by the other wheel next to it.
